Pipe anti-corrosion, the Royal Garden Hotel in the UK has introduced NMR pipe protectors.

The results of verifying the red rust prevention device "NMR Pipe Protector" for hot water supply piping showed a significant cost reduction in piping renewal expenses to 1/50.

The Royal Garden Hotel London is beloved by travelers from around the world as one of the world's leading five-star hotels. Constructed in 1965, by 2007, it had been 42 years since its establishment, and the deterioration of the hot water supply pipes had progressed. Due to the use of iron pipes, internal red rust corrosion had advanced, resulting in relatively dark red water coming out of the taps every morning. In response, three "NMR Pipe Protectors" were installed on the main hot water supply pipe in the boiler room. Furthermore, water quality tests were conducted before installation, two weeks after installation, and then monthly for 12 months to measure the iron content in the water due to red rust. The results showed a significant decrease in the iron content in the water immediately after installation. Since the effectiveness of rust prevention was quantitatively proven, the hotel also installed NMR Pipe Protectors in the air conditioning piping. Ultimately, while the cost of pipe replacement was approximately 1.5 billion yen, the total cost of the NMR Pipe Protectors was about 30 million yen, resulting in a cost that was 1/50 of the replacement cost. In terms of cost-effectiveness, it far exceeded the hotel's expectations. *Customer testimonials (customer recommendation letters) and other PDF materials are currently available for free! *Please feel free to contact us first.

Pipe anti-corrosion, Mandarin Oriental Hotel introduces NMR pipe protector.

Significant cost reduction in hot water pipes at a 5-star hotel with red rust prevention device "NMR Pipe Protector"

The NMR Pipe Protector is adopted not only in Japan but also in various important facilities around the world. At the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park in London, galvanized steel pipes (SGP) were used for the hot water supply. Galvanized steel pipes have a short lifespan of about 10 to 20 years, and red rust was occurring within the hotel's hot water supply pipes, resulting in poor water hygiene. While the standard value for iron content in water based on the UK's water quality regulations is 0.2 mg/l, the iron content in the hotel's hot water supply pipes was 13.35 mg/l. This value significantly exceeds the standard, highlighting the seriousness of the situation. With the NMR Pipe Protector, the iron content in the hot water supply pipes was reduced to below 0.2 mg/l. The NMR Pipe Protector utilizes free electrons in water, known as hydration electrons, to reduce the red rust that forms inside the pipes to black rust. This rust prevention technology, which Japan takes pride in, is also featured as one of the top 10 rust prevention technologies in the U.S. manufacturing technology magazine "Manufacturing Technology Insights" (March 12, 2020). *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Hotel and inn air conditioning piping is protected from red rust and leaks by NMR pipe protectors.

Extend the lifespan of hotel and inn air conditioning piping affected by red rust deterioration for over 30 years at one-tenth the cost of piping replacement.

"Red Rust Deterioration of Air Conditioning Chilled and Hot Water Piping" Air conditioning chilled and hot water piping that has been in use for over 25 years experiences the loss of the zinc coating on the inner surface of the steel pipes within 4 to 5 years. As the surface of the iron comes into contact with water, red rust deterioration occurs, leading to red rust blockage. At the same time, this red rust flows into copper fan coils, causing further blockage and reducing the efficiency of heating and cooling. Additionally, the accumulation of red rust within the heat source equipment shortens its lifespan. As the red rust deterioration progresses within the piping, the threads at the joints may break off, leading to water leaks during strong earthquakes. Since the air conditioning chilled and hot water system is centralized, updating the piping requires hotels and inns to suspend operations for more than six months, and the cost of piping replacement can be several hundred million to over a billion yen. The damages incurred from the suspension of operations are also significant, leading to a demand for the development of technologies that can extend the life of air conditioning piping without replacement.

It has also been adopted by Christ's College, Cambridge University!

Extend the lifespan of piping! Case study of the "NMR Pipe Protector" introduced at Christ's College, Cambridge University.

Christ's College, Cambridge University, originated from God's House, which was established in 1437, and was rebuilt and opened as Christ's College in 1505 at nearly the same location. It is also famous for producing numerous notable alumni, including Charles Darwin, the author of "On the Origin of Species." The university's air conditioning hot water piping has been troubled by issues related to red rust internally, and although sacrificial anodes were introduced in 2008 as a countermeasure, the progression of red rust did not stop. Additionally, an anti-corrosion agent was applied annually, but there was no change in the iron content of the water before and after its use, raising concerns about the agent's impact on human health. Therefore, to remove red rust and single-celled bacteria while maintaining the strength of the piping, an NMR pipe protector was installed on July 31, 2013, in the air conditioning hot water piping (return pipe) of the Todd Building on the university campus. The iron content in the water, which was 43.81 mg/l before installation, dropped to 17.95 mg/l three weeks after installation. As October arrived and the air conditioning hot water system operated at full capacity, the levels continued to decrease, reaching 0.5195 mg/l by August 5, 2014, 52 weeks after installation, which is about one-eighty of the original level.

Verification of the effectiveness of NMR pipe protectors by the Yokohama City Waterworks Bureau.

Confirmed the rust prevention effect inside the piping in areas where the NMR pipe protector's rust prevention effect conditions are met.

To demonstrate the rust prevention effect of the NMR pipe protector, a certain amount of water must flow through the piping. In the Konan Chuo area where the rust prevention effect test was conducted, the minimum water usage for a 50A pipe was 4.4 tons per day, but only three households were using that water, resulting in a total water usage of 1 ton per day (an average of 350 liters per day per household), which is very low. In the Teramachi 2-chome area, the number of households using water for each branched pipe with a diameter of 50A was six and eight, respectively, with the six households using about 2 tons of water per day and the eight households having a total water usage of just under 3 tons per day. Due to insufficient water usage, a clear rust prevention effect could not be confirmed. However, in the Tsurumi Public Housing and Hazawa area, where similar verification tests were conducted, the conditions were met. In Tsurumi Public Housing, the red rust in the water supply pipe decreased from 0.27 mg/l to 0.12 mg/l six weeks after the installation of the NMR pipe protector, and an increase in residual chlorine concentration, which had been reduced due to red rust, was confirmed. In the Hazawa area, the residual chlorine concentration, which had decreased by 45.3%, improved significantly to a reduction of 13.6%. The Yokohama City Waterworks Bureau has concluded the tests as there are no more suitable locations to further test the rust prevention effect of the NMR pipe protector.

[Verification Results] Christ's College, University of Cambridge

Red rust is reduced to a strong passive black rust! A proven case of protection and prolongation of pipes.

The university's air conditioning hot water piping has been plagued by issues related to internal red rust, and although a sacrificial anode was introduced in 2008 as a countermeasure, the progression of red rust did not stop. Additionally, a rust inhibitor was administered once a year, but there was no change in the iron content in the water before and after the use of the rust inhibitor, raising concerns about its effects on human health. Therefore, in order to remove red rust and single-celled bacteria while maintaining the strength of the piping, an "NMR Pipe Protector PT-75DS" was installed in the air conditioning hot water piping (return pipe) of the Todd Building on campus. The iron content in the water, which was 43.81 mg/l before installation, decreased to 17.95 mg/l three weeks after installation. [Challenges] ■ Although a sacrificial anode was introduced, the progression of red rust did not stop. ■ A rust inhibitor was administered once a year, but there was no change in the iron content in the water before and after its use, and there were concerns about its effects on human health. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[NMR Pipe Protector Verification Results] Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS)

The anti-corrosion effect inside the piping lasts for one year! By protecting the inside of the piping, the lifespan of the piping is extended to match the lifespan of the building.

The 250th branch, located in the Bishops Gate area of London, which was built 18 years ago, had issues with red rust deterioration in its air conditioning system. To address the red rust in the piping, a rust inhibitor was being used, but there were environmental concerns. On March 23, 2018, "NMR Pipe Protector" was installed in the air conditioning hot water piping. One year after installation, the bank conducted its own follow-up survey, which showed that the iron content was at a very low level of 0.03 mg/l, confirming that the rust prevention effect in the piping persisted after one year. Furthermore, it was demonstrated that by continuing to use this product in the future, red rust would be reduced to a stable black rust, protecting the piping and extending its lifespan to match that of the building. [Effects After Installation] - Six weeks after installation, the iron content in the water was measured under the same conditions as before installation, showing a decrease from 1.1 mg/l to 0.41 mg/l. - One year after installation, the iron content was at a very low level of 0.03 mg/l. - It was demonstrated that protecting the piping would extend its lifespan to match that of the building. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[NMR Pipe Protector] Effectiveness Demonstrated through X-ray Inspection | Hokkaido Condominium

Effectiveness demonstrated by X-ray inspection of the water supply pipes in the condominium 19 years after the installation of the NMR pipe protector.

Nineteen years after the installation of the NMR pipe protector, an inspection was conducted by the condominium management association of a 9-story, 110-unit building in Sapporo, Hokkaido, when the building was 32 years old. They commissioned an external investigation company to examine the condition of red rust deterioration at the water supply pipe joints. Ten locations were selected within the pipe space of the water supply pipes (pipe diameters 25A to 65A) from the 1st to the 9th floor, and a non-destructive inspection using X-rays was performed on the joint areas. The results of the X-ray inspection showed that out of the ten locations, eight had no signs of red rust deterioration at the pipe joints. The other two locations showed only slight traces of corrosion, which were estimated to have occurred before the installation of the NMR pipe protector. This demonstrated that the red rust deterioration of the water supply pipes in this condominium had been completely prevented. Although the NMR pipe protector cannot prevent corrosion on the outside of the pipes, slight external corrosion was observed. However, by preventing external corrosion with anti-rust coatings, both the exterior and interior can be preserved. *Images and inspection results are quoted from a report by a certain industrial inspection agency. The "seismic strength" of water supply piping deteriorates over time due to the loss of thread integrity.

The red rust prevention device "NMR Pipe Protector" prevents the reduction of seismic strength in water supply and air conditioning pipes by converting red rust into hard black rust.

The condition of corrosion deterioration of the screw threads cannot be determined from the exterior of the building. If corrosion deterioration of the screw threads progresses unnoticed, it can cause pipes to come loose and lead to water leaks due to shocks during earthquakes. To maintain the seismic strength of the piping, it is necessary to perform anti-corrosion treatment inside the pipes before the screw threads are reduced due to red rust deterioration. Our anti-red rust device for piping, the 'NMR Pipe Protector', can improve various red rust issues inside the pipes by reducing red rust to black rust. Not only does it provide anti-corrosion effects, but the transformation of red rust to black rust also strengthens and rehabilitates the piping. For the safety of our customers, it is wise to reconfirm the seismic strength of the building's piping and take prompt action to prepare for earthquakes at any time. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Special Feature on Preventing Red Rust in Piping] Preventing Water Leakage in Hot Water Pipes at Whittington Hospital, UK

Proving the rust prevention and prolongation effect of the piping by converting red rust to black rust in the hot water supply piping of Whittington Hospital in the UK.

Whittington Hospital (affiliated with the NHS) was built in the 1860s, and the building has been deteriorating, with the hot water piping having not been updated for about 30 to 40 years since the last renovation. As it stood, the risk of clogs and leaks due to corrosion in the hot water pipes was high, leading to the decision to introduce the red rust prevention device, the "NMR Pipe Protector." As a result of implementing the NMR Pipe Protector, the occurrence of new red rust has been completely prevented, and there have been no instances of red water, proving that the hot water piping has been significantly extended in its lifespan. Additionally, the interior of the piping is protected from black rust by the NMR Pipe Protector, preventing the progression of red rust corrosion. As long as the NMR Pipe Protector is installed, the piping can be used for the lifespan of the building. [Installation Results] ■ Piping can be used until the lifespan of the building ■ Significant cost reductions achieved ■ No need for water outages * Customer testimonials (recommendation letters) and other PDF materials are available for free! * Please feel free to contact us first.

Pipe anti-corrosion: Yokohama City Waterworks Bureau conducts effectiveness verification of NMR pipe protectors (1)

The Yokohama City Waterworks Bureau has verified the effectiveness of the NMR pipe protector in preventing red rust and reducing chlorine levels for disinfection in the water supply pipes at the Tsurumi public housing.

At the Yokohama City Waterworks Bureau, a demonstration test was conducted at the 20-year-old Tsurumi water reservoir's attached public housing to prevent red rust from occurring in the water supply pipes, thereby solving the problem of reduced chlorine concentration in the water due to red rust. The test was carried out using the water supply pipe in the vacant bathroom of room 102. The piping materials used included polyethylene-lined steel pipes in the shared areas and resin pipes in the exclusive areas, where red rust was found to be occurring at the pipe joint sections. Before the installation of the NMR pipe protector, the iron concentration in the stagnant water at the bathtub water supply faucet during nighttime was 0.27 mg/L, with a residual chlorine level of 0.11 ppm at that time. Additionally, over the two weeks prior to installation (with water flowing for 3 hours a day), the amount of red rust accumulated on the faucet filter was 13 mg/L, indicating that corrosion due to red rust at the pipe joint sections was significantly advanced.

[Disaster Prevention] Easily prevent the risk of leaks from old pipes left unattended for over 20 years!

Old piping is likely to suddenly cause multiple leaks even with a small earthquake. Large-scale replacement work for the piping can lead to significant damage... What measures can be taken now?

Are you aware? The lifespan of piping is said to be about 20 years. At first glance, piping is often overlooked because it is not visible from the outside, but like buildings, it continues to deteriorate over time. Furthermore, in recent years, the majority of equipment damage caused by earthquakes has been due to "piping within buildings," such as air conditioning systems. Sudden leaks caused by earthquakes can occur in multiple locations and result in significant damage... Once a leak occurs, it requires a large-scale construction cost for "piping replacement (piping renewal)." To prevent accidents before they happen, we recommend the NMR Pipe Protector! ★ Just by installing it on the outside of the piping, it extends the lifespan of the piping and strengthens the interior! ★ = Maximum Benefits = - The initial cost is less than one-tenth of that for piping renewal - Running costs and maintenance are "zero" - High safety that is also implemented in food factories and hospitals Please feel free to contact us first.

It is located on the banks of the River Thames in central London and is a building over 150 years old that was rebuilt around 1860. In one of the several buildings (the Guard Room), the air conditioning hot water piping was severely corroded due to red rust. To prevent the occurrence of new red rust in this piping system, one "NMR Pipe Protector PT-75DS" was installed in the air conditioning hot water piping on the secondary side of the boiler. The iron content in the water before the installation of the NMR Pipe Protector was 3.9 mg/l, but it decreased to 2.38 mg/l 34 days after installation. It was confirmed that 59 days after installation, the iron content in the water had decreased to 1.48 mg/l, which is less than half of the pre-installation value. This result demonstrated that the occurrence of new red rust in the piping had completely stopped, and the existing red rust had turned into black rust, which does not dissolve in water and protects the piping with a corrosion-resistant layer. With the installation of the NMR Pipe Protector, the air conditioning hot water piping can now be used semi-permanently as long as the building remains standing.

[NMR Pipe Protector Verification Results] Kawanishi City Kushi Elementary School

Proven rust prevention effect in water quality test one week after installation!

This property is a 29-year-old building that originally used galvanized steel pipes (SGP) for its plumbing at the time of completion, but over the years, it has been updated to use vinyl-lined steel pipes (VLP). However, due to the building's structure, the plumbing inside the framework remained galvanized steel pipes (SGP), which led to the occurrence of red water due to corrosion. To address the red water issue in the water supply pipes and to protect and extend the life of the plumbing, NMR Pipe Protectors were installed. The NMR Pipe Protector costs less than one-tenth of traditional plumbing renovation work and can rehabilitate the pipes by converting red rust into black rust without allowing it to flow out. In water quality tests conducted before the installation of the NMR Pipe Protector, the iron ion concentration was 0.3 mg/l. However, about five weeks after the installation of the NMR Pipe Protector, this concentration dropped to 0.01 mg/l, which is one-thirtieth of the original level, effectively resolving the red water issue. Additionally, an endoscopic examination revealed that the rate of blockage due to red rust in the pipes improved by more than 10% after one year and three months. These results confirm that the rust prevention effect of the NMR Pipe Protector and the rehabilitation effect of converting red rust to black rust continue to be effective.

Rust prevention device for wire electrical discharge machining "Non-Rust N-500 II"

Without using additives, it converts rust-causing substances in water into anti-rust ions. It can be easily connected to existing equipment.

The "Non-Rust N-500 II" is a device that absorbs corrosive substances (such as chloride ions and sulfate ions) present in water and converts them into anti-corrosion ions. By circulating water through the anti-corrosion resin tank, it modifies the processing fluid without changing its viscosity, which can be an issue when adding agents like anti-corrosion additives, allowing for thorough impregnation even during the processing of complex-shaped workpieces. It can be used with a 100V power supply and can be easily connected to existing wire discharge machining equipment. 【Features】 ■ Maintains the water quality of the clean water tank within a certain corrosion suppression range through water circulation ■ Allows for on/off switching via timer settings ■ Tank capacity can be selected from 5L or 10L ■ Compact design suitable for installation in narrow spaces *For more details, please refer to the PDF document. Feel free to contact us with any inquiries.

[Case Study of Dipole] Koi Castle Development Co., Ltd.

Affordable solutions for red rust prevention in building plumbing! Introducing case studies of Dipole.

This is a case study of Koijokaihatsu Co., Ltd., which has been engaged in the real estate business in Hiroshima Prefecture for 40 years. We installed a "DIPOLE" in a building that includes three tenant shops, an office, and a residence, all of which are 18 years old. Previously, when red rust appeared in the pipes, we addressed it by using a water purifier from another company. The estimate for treating the red rust in the pipes was 820,000 yen, but by installing the DIPOLE, the red rust changed to black rust, allowing us to manage the piping issues at a much lower cost. We received a commitment to focus on contributing to environmental improvement in Hiroshima with DIPOLE and to expand our business in the future. [Case Study] ■ Model Used: DIPOLE 20A *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

NMR Pipe Protector that Promotes the Growth of Tomatoes and Strawberries in Agriculture

The rust prevention effect of the NMR pipe protector is due to the action of small clusters of water, which has also been proven to promote the growth of tomatoes and strawberries.

The pipe rust prevention device "NMR Pipe Protector" was featured on TV Tokyo's economic information program "World Business Satellite (WBS)." The rust prevention effect of the water from the NMR Pipe Protector has small clusters, which promotes the growth of vegetables, leading to verification in the agricultural field. At "Mitsu Village" in Himeji City, Hyogo Prefecture, NMR Pipe Protectors are installed in the pipes that supply water to the greenhouses. In the program, the weight of tomatoes grown with regular water was compared to those grown with water from the supply pipe equipped with the NMR Pipe Protector, and on average, the latter tomatoes were 16 grams larger. From previous verifications, it has been found that growing tomatoes with water from the supply pipe equipped with the NMR Pipe Protector increases the yield by approximately 7 percent. In this way, the NMR Pipe Protector is expected to leverage its ability to change the properties of water and expand into various fields. *You can download the materials for free. *Please feel free to contact us first.

Pipe anti-corrosion: Yokohama City Waterworks Bureau conducts effectiveness verification of NMR pipe protectors (2)

The Yokohama City Waterworks Bureau has verified the effectiveness of the "NMR Pipe Protector" in preventing the decrease of residual chlorine concentration in water distribution pipes.

The Yokohama City Waterworks Bureau confirmed an increase in residual chlorine concentration to prevent red rust and the associated reduction of disinfectant chlorine in the water supply pipe at the Tsurumi public office. Therefore, starting from November 5, 2012, a demonstration test was conducted using the water distribution pipe (100A) in the Hazawa area to prevent the decrease in residual chlorine concentration. During six measurements conducted from September 26 to October 30, before the installation of the NMR pipe protector, the residual chlorine concentration at the planned installation site (Point A) averaged 0.55 mg/L (with Point A's residual chlorine concentration set at 100%), while 50 meters downstream (Point B) averaged 0.41 mg/L (a reduction rate of 25.45%), and at the farthest point, 125 meters away (Point C), it averaged 0.23 mg/L (a reduction rate of 58.18%), indicating a decrease due to the red rust occurring in the piping. Subsequently, on November 5, the NMR pipe protector was installed, and after more than three months, during three measurements from February 19 to March 22, the residual chlorine concentration at the installation site (Point A) averaged 0.61 mg/L, while at 50 meters downstream (Point B) the average for the same three measurements was 0.61 mg/L (a reduction rate of 0%), showing that the decrease was mostly prevented. Even at the farthest point, 125 meters away (Point C), the average for the same three measurements was 0.55 mg/L (a reduction rate of 9.84%), significantly improving the reduction rate.
